Does a Thread Lift really work? Straight talk from Lori.

It's not my nature to fixate on my flaws – life’s just too short. But...

I have to be honest, lately I've been judging myself a lot more harshly than I'd like to admit! I think it's normal to analyze our appearance as we age—especially these days. Never before have we been in a position where we've had to stare at our own faces through the lenses of our computers and smartphones so often. It's no wonder that we're noticing flaws that may not have bothered us quite as much pre-pandemic! For me, it happened last year when we started our new Cosmetic Laser Center vlog, Mirror Mirror. Seeing myself on screen I began to wonder, ‘Is the camera positioned at a really, really unflattering angle? Or is my jawline not as firm as it used to be?' —Was I starting to develop jowls? What was happening?!

I'm a "firm" believer in anti-aging treatments (pun intended). I've had great results in the past with Ultherapy for lifting and tightening my skin; and I'm no stranger to the Liquid Lift which uses fillers to replace lost volume. All of those treatments really do make a difference! But I began to wonder if it was time to venture into something different—something else that had an amazing lifting effect, but wasn’t a facelift. After all, a facelift is something I'd like to avoid for at least another decade! Was it time for a Thread Lift?

A Thread Lift fills the gap between facial rejuvenation treatments and a facelift.

A Thread Lift is a non-invasive procedure where temporary sutures are inserted using a special needle, producing a subtle but visible ‘lift’ in the skin. A Thread Lift is low risk, with virtually no risk of scarring, severe bruising, bleeding, or other complications. And since Thread Lifts are much easier to perform than facelift surgery, they’re much more affordable, making them a great interim procedure.

"A Thread Lift is not a replacement for a facelift, but it is an extremely effective procedure for those who are starting see the effects of gravity, skin laxity and sagging – i.e. someone like me."

So back to the question at hand: Does a Thread Lift really work?

To answer that question, just take a look at my before and immediately after photos, they speak for themselves! I feel like my results are definitely noticeable while still being subtle and natural-looking. And I have to say, the sagging around my jowl area is no longer the first thing I notice when I look at myself in the mirror. I couldn't be more pleased. As far as making me feel better about myself and winding back the clock a few years, this Thread Lift has been a total game-changer.
