Well girls, we are in week 12 of our journey. What have you learned about YOU? What is YOUR best body? How do YOU define beautiful? As women we can be so hard on ourselves. Every day we stretch ourselves beyond our limit trying to be too many things to too many people, and more often than not, we end up putting ourselves at the bottom of the pile.
If you never put yourself first, you will never be your best YOU.
Your Best YOU starts with valuing yourself as you do others.
You owe yourself the love and attention you so freely give to others. Talk to yourself like you would talk to someone you love. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself a break!
Your Best YOU is... healthy.
Eat. Exercise. Rest. You put your body through all kinds of stresses and strains when you are busy running around being all things to all people. You deserve and need time to replenish, re-energise and recuperate. Be good to yourself!
- Eat Healthy – This is not about getting on some low-calorie liquid diet, it is about bringing balance to the food you eat, the quantity you have and the regularity of your meals. Nourish your body!
- Exercise – Walk, run, play tennis, find something that works for you – there are plenty of choices! Challenge your body!
- Rest – whatever works for you in terms of sleep, make sure you get it. And take some time out to relax. Whether that’s listening to music you like, reading a book or getting a massage, make it happen. Rest your body!
Your best YOU is... enough.
Stress is not what happens to you, it is how you respond to what happens. It's ok to say no. It's ok to leave work at work. It's ok if you can't get the house cleaned, the laundry put away, the grocery shopping done and dinner on the table by six. You are enough, you don't have to kill yourself to prove it! De-Stress your body!
Your best YOU is... happy.
Get more of what makes you happy in your life – You deserve happiness, whatever that means to you. If you sit and wait for someone to deliver it to you it could be a long wait. Make your own happiness from the inside out.
Happy is the kind of beauty that never fades.
